The Digital Guardian 2000 has a digital recorder built-in. This allows the footage acquired to be DVD quality MPEG2 encoding allowing for up to 8 hours of video on a 20g hard drive. The system comes complete with two removable hard drive units that allow the user to access case files from any computer system. Also new for the Digital G2K system is the easy-to-use handheld master control which features the "wireless interrogator." Once activated, the interrogator will retrieve vital information from your system such as alarm hits, battery strength, remaining record time, alarm duration, and time/date stamp. With a range of up to 2000 feet, entering the target area to check the status of your system is no longer necessary. Other new features on the handheld include direct camera setup via a 3.5-inch LCD screen and alarm activation test modes. The on-screen display also provides a user-friendly menu, so setup is clear and concise. As featured in the Guardian 2000, the Digital Guardian 2000 also comes standard with exclusive Seismic and PIR Sensors. The Seismic Sensor can be almost completely underground.
